as a birthmother,
how do you differentiate between 'want' and 'need'
when it comes to contact with the child that you placed?
do you really 'need' anything at all, or does it all just boil down to a 'want'?
did you get everything you ultimately 'needed' from the act of placement itself?

The only thing I NEEDED was to know that my son was happy and safe. I wanted a whole lot more than that. Still do. But my son's parents are amazing and have given me all that I needed and more. Even 15 years later.
